Dove x Crowdtap

Dove crowdkit

Earlier this month I became a Crowd-tapper & received my first ever crowdkit. I received 4 items from Dove for free in exchange for a review. I don't receive any monetary compensation for reviewing items, just the items themselves. In my crowdkit I received: Dove purely pampering nourishing body wash with the scent Shea butter with warm vanilla, Dove advanced care deodorant in three scents, 1) original clean 2) chamomile 3) rejuvenate (pomegranate).

Although I am grateful to receive any free items I was a little nervous about trying these. I have sensitive skin that turns red and breaks out at the drop of a hat. I stopped using trendy body washes years ago and opt for oatmeal bar soap instead. I use gel deodorants to keep my underarms from turning red and itchy. I was surprised to find that these deodorants, although solid, did not cause the intense itch I remember! They were creamy and moisturizing. It did take about 3 days for me to adjust to them but now I experience no underarm dryness and absolutely no itch!

Original clean smells as you would expect like you've just stepped out of the shower. It's a scent I prefer when I know I'm going to working out (pretty rare these days). The chamomile wasn't bad it just didn't do anything for me. In other words it's not a scent I would reach for at the store. Rejuvenate (pomegranate) has been my favorite. It has a sweet scent with just a little bit of a bite (tartness). None of the scents are overwhelming but they don't fade away either. I do catch a whiff of them throughout the day, nothing too strong, just enough to let me know it's still working. As for the body wash, it smells amazing and feels even better on the skin. But my sensitive skin just can't take the fragrance and after a few washes starts to break out. It's back to Grandpa's Oatmeal bar soap for me!
